We have started to use the Dell USB-C docks and they were a massive pain until the recent flood of BIOS and driver updates which seem to have made them work reliably with our 3510s and 5510sĭo these work off of the infamous "THUNDERBOLT" port? From my experience, this is technology "Not ready for prime time". I was told by Dell that docks were on "Engineering Hold" whatever that means at Dell.I haven't specifically used the D3000 but any other USB 3.0 docks we have tried have been hopeless and i can't see them being much different. Had to send it back as it failed miserably and I see it is no longer even offered as an accessory for that unit on Dell's website. If you call getting 1Mb/sec transfer rates on a Gb network connection troublesome, then yes, I've had my share of problems :) What's going on with Dell lately?
